As Team Leader Machining, you will lead a team of CNC operators working on critical parts of aircraft landing gear. In doing so, you will directly contribute to the safety of people worldwide. Function
As team leader, you are the link between the shop floor and management. You operationally manage the team of CNC operators, monitor the progress and quality of the work and ensure that the objectives are met. You ensure a safe, efficient and pleasant working environment in which everyone can develop.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily management of the CNC machining team (approximately 10-15 operators).
- Plans, coordinates and distributes work based on production planning.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and health and safety guidelines.
- Supervise, coach and develop employees through development interviews and on-the-job mentoring.
- Identify and resolve technical and organizational bottlenecks.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement processes (e.g. Lean initiatives, 5S).
- First point of contact for technical support and team escalations.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Production Planning, Engineering and Quality.
- Reporting to the Production Manager.

Who are you
- MBO-4 or college working and thinking level, preferably in the direction of Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CNC machining (milling, turning), preferably 5-axis machines with Heidenhain controls.
- Strong communication skills, a coaching style of leadership and solution-oriented.
- You speak and write good Dutch and can manage yourself in English.
