Function
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and managing the electrical systems in various projects. In this position, you will have the following key responsibilities:
- Develop the functional descriptions, drawings and other basic engineering documents of power distribution, lighting and other electrical systems.
- Develop and maintain specification documents of all electrical components and installation processes.
- Write detailed test and validation plans to ensure compliance with class rules and to meet customer requirements during virtual testing (simulations) and real-world testing (FAT, HAT, SAT).
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors to get their timely contribution to the project.
- Review the design of suppliers and subcontractors and implement it into the ship design.
- Develop and describe standards and working methods for detail engineering and commissioning.
- Provide support at offer stages by developing conceptual designs of electrical power systems.
- Provide technical support or commissioning activities for projects under contract.

Who are you
As an Electrical Engineer with our company, you will be responsible for designing, developing and managing complex electrical systems in a challenging marine, offshore or industrial environment. We are looking for someone with a strong technical electrical background and relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience designing complex electrical systems (including large power distribution systems), preferably in marine, offshore or industrial installations.
- Experience designing EMC compliant solutions; knowledge of TEMPEST regulations is a plus.
- Working experience in complex projects consisting of multidisciplinary sub-teams and multiple vendors and subcontractors.
- Experience working in a model-based systems engineering environment (MBSE) according to the V-model.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline
- Excellent background on references, as pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment process.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with an NL/EU (work) visa or with both EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
