Function

As a Source Inspector, monitor product quality both internally and at suppliers. Various inspection methods are involved on a daily basis: from visual and mechanical checks to (non-)contact measurements. Identifying deviations in a timely manner and supervising improvement actions are an important part of this position.

Close cooperation with internal departments, suppliers and external parties ensures compliance with aviation standards and continuous optimization of the inspection process.

Tasks

  • Perform inspections according to work instructions, on site and at suppliers' premises
  • Check product characteristics and documentation according to regulations
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102
  • Identify and record deviations and initiate non-conformity processes
  • Coordinate deviations from suppliers or logistics
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (RCCA, 8D/KT)
  • Implement improvements in receiving and inspection processes

Who are you

An inspector with an eye for detail and knowledge of quality standards in the aerospace industry. Independent work, structured reporting and accuracy are essential.

Your profile:

  • Experience with inspection and measurement methods in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
  • Familiarity with AS9102 FAI and quality standards such as AS9100
  • Experience with RCCA techniques (8D, Kepner-Tregoe)
  • Knowledge of LEAN processes and continuous improvement is a plus
  • Good command of the English language
  • MBO+/HBO working and thinking level in a technical direction

Fokker Landing Gear, part of GKN Aerospace, specializes in the design, production and maintenance of complete landing gear. These systems are applied to platforms such as the F-35 Lightning II, the Apache attack helicopter, the NH90 and the Dash 8 Q400. The Papendrecht facility is known for its high engineering standards and global involvement in the aviation industry.
