Introduction

In this role, you will work within a multidisciplinary start-up team to develop and monitor advanced offshore systems and installations.
Function
- Contribute to functional safety during the design, development and life cycle of high-performance offshore machinery
- Participate in and facilitate risk sessions such as HAZOP and FMECA
- Support systems and design teams with risk analysis, mitigation measures and safety documentation
- Work intensively with various disciplines (mechanical, electrical, controls) to integrate safety into innovative projects
- Staying current on relevant safety standards and regulations

Who are you
- You have a completed college or university degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Control or Systems Engineering (or similar)
- Experience in offshore, shipbuilding or mechanical engineering is a definite plus
- Affinity for risk management, functional safety and technical systems
- Knowledge of HAZOP, FMECA and functional safety concepts
- Strongly functioning in multidisciplinary teams, with an eye for both innovation and safety
- Communicatively strong, analytical and proactive in identifying and addressing risks
- Familiar with risk assessment methods and principles of functional safety
- Focused on engineering and analysis - this is not a quality role, but a substantive engineering role
