As Lead Design Engineer, you will strengthen the innovative team working on the development, flight testing, certification and airworthiness of our FlyDrive solution. You will be involved in all phases of the process and have great responsibility in the development of vehicle systems and subsystems.
Function
In this role, you will be responsible for complex subsystems, from design to certification. You will take the lead in the further development of existing systems and ensure that everything meets the high standards of our innovative technology.
- Owner of (complex) subsystems throughout the life cycle;
- Design and further development of systems such as power plant, primary structure or electronics;
- Lead impact assessments during the change process;
- Identify technical and project risks and propose effective solutions;
- Establish verification and validation strategies and substantiate designs;
- Support fellow engineers in their development;
- Liaise with suppliers as needed.

Who are you
You are an experienced engineer who likes to take responsibility and inspire others. With your technical expertise and eye for detail, you will contribute to the realization of a unique mobility solution.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Experience with CAD, FMEA and/or FEM (depending on your specialty);
- Experience demonstrating or certifying compliance is a plus;
- Strong communication skills in English;
- Initiator with an eye for developing colleagues.
