Function

As an Associate Foreman, you will be responsible for the operational management of daily operations in the engine workshop. You will manage a team of 10 mechanics working on overhauling, repairing, building and modifying marine 4S engines. You will report directly to the workshop manager.

Main duties include:

  • Prepare jobs by checking drawings, technical specifications and assemblies.
  • Ensure availability of all required parts, documentation, work instructions and schedules.
  • Oversee safety, quality and 5S topics in the workplace.
  • Lead a team of mechanical specialists, coaching, evaluating and conducting development interviews.
  • Ensure maintenance of a high level of quality by inspecting work performance and addressing employees as needed.
  • Approve inspection/work reports.
  • Continuous improvement of practices and processes, while also complying with those already in place.

Who are you

  • Knowledge of motorcycles: Preferably experience with 4-stroke or 2-stroke engines.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in lighting up a team is desired, but experienced mechanics with leadership soft skills will also be considered.
  • Language Skills: Good command of both Dutch and English, given the international nature of the organization.
  • Education: An engineering background, preferably in the field of engines and propulsion systems.
