Function
As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will investigate machining problems to the core and implement corrective actions so that defects do not reoccur. You work in a team that continuously improves and optimizes production quality. With your knowledge of CNC techniques and multi-axis machining, you will take production processes to the next level.
Tasks
- Perform root-cause analyses and implement preventive and corrective measures
- Adapt production processes, tooling/fixtures and production documentation from concept to implementation
- Develop and improve standard operating instructions (SOPs)
- Optimizing and programming NC programs for multi-axis milling and mill-turn machines
- Testing and verification of CNC programs on the machines
- Provide hands-on shop floor support for smooth and efficient CNC operations

Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hard-metal manufacturing and passion for precision and multi-axis machining
- Proficient with CATIA V5 and reading Siemens NC code and Heidenhain
- Experience with process improvement and a good understanding of GD&T
- Background in CNC operation and programming, including multi-axis milling and mill-turn
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English
Plus points
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology or similar
- Experience with TopSolid, Siemens NX CAM, Vericut, CrashGuard, Tooltech and TDM
- Knowledge of DMG and Heller machines
- Green Belt and experience with LEAN application
- Experience with on-machine probing
