For those who enjoy working with high-tech measurement systems and technical installations, here is a great opportunity to get started as a Junior Service Engineer. This role combines technology, customer focus and responsibility, both on site and remotely. Working at Voestalpine means collaborating on reliable rail infrastructure.

Function

The Junior Service Engineer supports in ensuring the reliability and availability of measurement systems. This is done in cooperation with colleagues from the service team and in contact with customers at home and abroad. The work is both preventive and troubleshooting.

Main tasks:

  • Handle customer inquiries via phone, email and Jira tickets (1st and 2nd line help desk)
  • Resolve technical malfunctions (remote and on-site)
  • Perform repairs and maintenance work
  • Documenting system configurations and service reports
  • Participate in the breakdown roster (24/7)
  • Work according to safety regulations and the KAM policy

Who are you

This position is suitable for someone who likes technical challenges and shows initiative. You switch easily between tasks and keep an overview. You are also accurate and can work well independently.

What helps you be successful in this role:

  • Minimum MBO working and thinking level (preferably in a technical direction)
  • Interest in electrical, mechanical or IT engineering
  • Experience with help desk systems such as Jira or ITIL is a plus
  • Willingness to travel and work outside office hours
  • Driving license B is required
  • Good command of the Dutch language
