Quality (Assurance) Engineer

Eindhoven
Full time

Introduction

Do you enjoy working on quality in a high-tech environment where precision truly makes the difference?
At KMWE, you’ll work on complex products and processes where quality must be ensured from the initial design all the way through to delivery. In this broad role as a Quality (Assurance) Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to help drive improvements, support customers, and advance the organization’s approach to preventive maintenance.

Function

As a Quality (Assurance) Engineer, you’ll be in daily contact with colleagues from production, engineering, and projects. You’ll identify risks early on, aren’t afraid to bring up bottlenecks, and ensure that corrective actions are actually followed through. Depending on your experience, your work will be more project-based, customer-focused, or process-oriented.

In practice, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and addressing quality risks in products and processes before they escalate;
  • Developing and implementing quality plans for new and existing products (NPI);
  • Analyzing deviations, KPIs, and trends, and providing clear feedback to the relevant departments;
  • Facilitating improvement initiatives using methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, Control Plans, and PDCA;
  • Coordinating customer complaints and leading substantive discussions with customers and internal stakeholders;
  • Actively promoting open communication and a "quality first" mindset in the workplace.
  • You will work closely with other Quality Engineers and specialists in operations and engineering. You will frequently collaborate with various disciplines and play a visible role within the organization.

What's in it for you

  • 25 vacation days + 13 compensatory days off (full-time);
  • Bonus Plan;
  • Travel allowance and/or bicycle allowance;
  • Enrollment in a group health insurance plan;
  • Opportunities for professional and personal development (training and education);
  • Work in a modern, high-tech environment at BIC1 in Eindhoven;
  • A casual work environment with short lines of communication and plenty of collaboration;
  • Company-issued laptop and phone;
  • Regular get-togethers, barbecues, and team activities.

Who are you

Must-haves

  • A completed associate's degree in a technical or (technical) business administration field;
  • Experience in a technical manufacturing environment (precision engineering, mechatronics, or high-tech);
  • Knowledge of quality methodologies such as FMEA, Control Plans, and 8D;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
  • Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with machining, measurement techniques, and/or GD&T;
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement or Lean Six Sigma;
  • Experience in a role that involves regular interaction with clients or project teams.

This is how you work

  • You don’t wait around—you take action when you spot risks or anomalies;
  • You are not afraid to bring up problems and difficult issues, even with experienced colleagues;
  • You communicate clearly, factually, and persuasively, both on the job and in meetings;
  • You keep track of everything and ensure that agreements are followed through.
