Introduction
A smoothly running production operation starts with a team that knows what needs to be done and a team leader who makes a difference. As the Production Team Leader for Cutting & Brushing at Mifa in Venlo, you’ll manage 10 to 14 employees on a daily basis and ensure that scheduling, quality, and production are all aligned. You’re at the heart of the production process, adapting quickly when the situation calls for it and helping your team take a step forward every day. It’s a role where your leadership is immediately evident on the shop floor.
Function
As the Cutting & Brushing Team Leader, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of the production process. You work in a two-shift system and ensure that employees, materials, and machines are utilized optimally.
You will translate the production schedule into a clear division of tasks and monitor progress on the shop floor. When issues arise regarding quality, capacity, or scheduling, you will ensure that they are resolved. In doing so, you will work closely with Planning, Logistics, and Quality Control & Improvement.
What will you do?
- You will manage 10 to 14 production employees on a daily basis and guide them in their professional development.
- You will organize the work involved in cutting, brushing, and inspecting precision aluminum profiles.
- You translate the production schedule into an efficient staffing plan and ensure that materials and resources are available.
- You monitor production progress, quality, and productivity, and make adjustments as needed.
- You will perform quality checks, evaluate deviations, and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant departments.
- You ensure a safe work environment, clear work instructions, and effective teamwork.
- You will report directly to the Extrusion Manager and play a key role in achieving production goals.

- A gross monthly salary ranging from €3,200 to €4,700, depending on your knowledge and experience.
- A 20% shift differential in addition to your salary.
- A two-shift schedule with work hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- A senior management position within a specialized aluminum manufacturing environment.
- A specialized production environment where you work with precision aluminum profiles and collaborate closely with various technical departments.
Who are you
You understand how a production process works and know how to manage employees within that process. You maintain an overview when the schedule changes, provide clear instructions, and address employees when quality or safety issues arise. In addition, you know how to apply your technical knowledge to ensure a well-organized workplace.
What are you bringing?
- You have an MBO 4 level of work and thinking.
- You have knowledge of extrusion processes and related production procedures.
- You have experience in managing and mentoring employees.
- You are familiar with safety regulations in a production environment.
- You have a command of the Dutch language that allows you to manage employees and convey work instructions.
A nice bonus:
- Experience in the aluminum industry or metalworking.
- Knowledge of sawing, deburring, and quality control.
- Experience with production planning and monitoring production performance.
About the organization
Mifa is based in Venlo and manufactures precision aluminum profiles. The production process includes the Die Correction, Extrusion, and Cutting & Brushing departments. In the Cutting & Brushing department, the manufactured profiles are cut to size, deburred as needed, and inspected.
