At JBT Marel, you’ll help develop machines and complete production lines for the food industry. As an In-House Technical Sales Representative, you’ll ensure that customer inquiries are translated into appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
You’ll mainly be working with colleagues in sales, engineering, and project management. So you don’t need to be an experienced salesperson, and you won’t be out visiting clients all day. You’ll learn how complex industrial projects are prepared and managed from a business perspective.

Function
You will be involved in the entire process, from the initial customer inquiry to the final quote and order. In doing so, you will ensure that all necessary information is available and that the various components are properly coordinated.
Your duties include:
- Preparing and coordinating quotes and orders for technical solutions.
- Gathering and coordinating information with sales, engineering, and project management.
- Translating customer requirements into technically feasible and commercially attractive proposals.
- Monitoring costs, budgets, and agreements during the proposal process.
- Preparing quotes and commercial proposals.
- Supporting colleagues on complex international projects.
- Keep track of multiple projects and ensure that commitments are met.
You’ll work on projects ranging in value from several hundred thousand euros to millions of euros. This will give you insight into how large-scale technical projects are planned and executed from a business perspective.

Who are you
You don't have to know everything yet. Above all, we're looking for someone with strong analytical skills, an interest in technology, and a willingness to work together to achieve good results.
You recognize yourself in the following:
- You have a bachelor's degree, for example in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, commercial engineering, or a related field.
- You find the combination of technology, business, and organization interesting.
- You work in an organized manner, maintain a clear overview, and can handle multiple tasks at once.
- You communicate easily and enjoy working with different departments.
- You have a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
Are you just starting out? That’s no problem. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the job and develop your skills. Experience with quotes, sales, or project coordination is a plus, but not a requirement.
