Introduction

Do you enjoy working with precision and can you take measurements accurate to the micron?
In a high-tech manufacturing environment, you’ll ensure that every component meets the highest quality standards—from the initial measurement to customer approval.

Function

As a Quality Inspector / Measurement Technician, you will work in the Quality Control department alongside other Inspectors and Metrology Specialists. You will be responsible for checking and ensuring the quality of precision mechanical parts within the production process.

During your workweek:

  • Perform dimensional measurements using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
  • Check your milled and turned parts using conventional measuring equipment
  • Release your processing steps for subsequent processing and input validation
  • Prepare your First Article Inspection reports and collect your material and post-processing certificates
  • Conduct your final inspections and approve your products for delivery to the customer
  • Do you work closely with operators during the machining process and assist them with measurements?
  • You will work closely with colleagues in Quality and Production and actively contribute to improving quality standards on the shop floor.

Who are you

Must-haves:

  • MBO/MTS diploma in precision mechanics or mechanical engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector / Measurement Technician in the precision engineering industry
  • Experience with CMM and conventional measurement techniques
  • You can read technical drawings, including shape and position tolerances
  • You have experience working within a quality system

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI)
  • Experience in a machining environment
  • Experience in guiding operators through quality measurements
