Maurice Taks visited Supernal in Irvine, United States, where an outstanding team of WFS PRO is supporting the engineering, manufacturing, and installation of the wiring system for the S-A2, Supernal’s latest eVTOL vehicle. This work is being carried out on behalf of GKN Fokker Elmo, our trusted long-term partner in the Aerospace domain.
Supernal is an aerospace company focused on developing Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) solutions. They are building an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle, targeting intra-city passenger travel. Supernal’s vision includes creating a clean-energy ecosystem that integrates seamlessly with existing transportation infrastructure. As a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, they aim to make sustainable, electric air transportation a practical option, contributing to seamless, efficient, and eco-friendly urban transit by 2028.
GKN Fokker plays a significant role in the development of AAM by providing key technologies for eVTOL aircraft. Their expertise in lightweight aerostructures, electrification, and hydrogen propulsion is used in several projects, including Supernal’s eVTOL vehicle. GKN Fokker Elmo designed and manufactured the Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) for Supernal’s full-scale technology demonstrator aircraft, contributing to the advancement of sustainable air travel solutions.
