Function
As the Design Engineer Marine Engineering / Naval Architect, your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform design and development activities: execute requirements analysis, concept generation, general system architecture (2D/3D CAD Arrangements; MBSE models, single-line diagrams), weight and power estimations, propulsion- and energy plant configurations, and main ship balances.
- Evaluate and asses new marine engineering concepts, including PoC’s and report findings accordingly.
- Produce models and technical documents, specifications for equipment, reports, and make presentations to visualize the calculations, concepts, and the reporting data.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders and internal departments for optimized project results.

Who are you?
To excel as the Design Engineer Marine Engineering (T4C), you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in marine- or mechanical engineering, maritime or other relevant technical studies.
- At least three years of experience in design, proposal, and development practices in the (naval) shipbuilding, maritime or offshore industry.
- Proven success of delivered innovations within the marine engineering field of expertise.
- Familiarity with relevant CAD and calculation software.
- Good command of the English preferably also Dutch language both written and verbal.
- Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects
