Function

As the Corporate Supplier Quality Manager based at our Son headquarters, you’ll lead efforts to enhance the quality of our extensive high-tech supply chain. Reporting to the Global Quality & EHS Director, you’ll hold a pivotal role within the global QESH department. Acting as a business partner to the corporate Procurement Director, you’ll assist category managers in Supplier Quality contracting and address structural quality issues.

Your responsibilities include managing the Supplier audit program and Supplier Quality complaints process, ensuring suppliers learn from issues, prevent recurrence, and meet VDA 6.3 Automotive standards. Collaborating with Supplier Quality engineers, you’ll oversee customer relations and improvement plans to boost their quality awareness and performance continuously.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Actively engaging with the different locations and suppliers through regular meetings, visits, and field observations.

• Mature the Supplier Quality processes, systems and functional lead the Supplier Quality engineering competence across the sites.

• Drive continuous improvement of the top strategic suppliers.

• Assess and approve new suppliers, ensuring they meet the Quality standards.

• Set and roll out supplier Quality agreements with suppliers.

• Plan and perform supplier (process) audits, report action plans and follow up and close countermeasures.

• Identify and execute Quality improvement projects across the sites and functions

• Monitor supplier performance, track key metrics and proactively initiate investigations or improvements towards suppliers.

• Design & provide training/workshops/coaching sessions internally and externally.

Requirements

To be successful in the role of Corporate Supplier Quality Manager, you recognize yourself in the following:


• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (industrial) engineering or industrial management.

• A deep understanding of ISO Standards (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF16949) and Q&SHE legislation

• Certifications such as Certified Auditor VD6.3 and Blackbelt are highly advantageous

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively at all organizational levels and with suppliers.

• Experience in working within diverse and remote teams.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. German language skills are a plus.

• Willingness to travel (15-20%) across locations and suppliers.
