Function
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be the link between Neways and its suppliers, responsible for translating our quality requirements to the suppliers. You will set up and monitor quality inspections of incoming products. If unexpected quality issues arise, you will take immediate action, conduct root cause analyses, and lead improvement teams to resolve problems structurally.
You will closely collaborate with a team of approximately 20 colleagues, including Quality Engineers and Production Process Engineers. You will report directly to the Team Leader of Manufacturing Quality.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and guiding quality improvements with suppliers.
- Preparing and conducting (process) audits at suppliers and internal audits, including reporting and follow-up.
- Supporting article inspections for Quality Control Inspectors and translating inspection results to suppliers.
- Preparing suppliers for the delivery of NPI (New Product Introduction) products.
- Preparing and analyzing monthly KPI reports (PPM and material complaints) and proposing improvements.

Who are you?
You are a communicatively strong, proactive professional who enjoys taking the initiative and working in a solution-oriented manner. You have a keen eye for detail and easily connect with people.
Additionally, you have:
- A completed technical education at the HBO level in fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-tech production environment such as automotive.
- Experience with quality management systems like ISO 14001 and/or IATF 16949, and knowledge of methodologies such as PPAP/FMEA is a plus.
