Function
As a Tactical Buyer, you will have the challenge of interacting with various suppliers and departments across the entire company to ensure optimal procurement. You will work as a team with the Category Buyer. In this role, you will be the point of contact for the operational buyers within one of the categories. You will coach and guide them to form an even better team. You will be the central person within the team, responsible for both the operational and tactical aspects of procurement.
With your knowledge and experience, you know how to further develop suppliers in terms of quality, technology, logistics, and costs (QLTC). In addition to optimizing the supplier base and focusing on performance, you will be challenged with logistical arrangements with suppliers and further supply chain optimizations. As a Tactical Buyer, you will also be the first escalation level from operations and co-responsible for procurement parameters in the ERP system. You will report to the Manager of Procurement and work closely with the operational buyers in your category and the Category Buyer.
Your Tasks Include:
Leading and guiding several operational team members;
Initiating and executing innovation projects aimed at reducing Total Cost of Ownership and increasing material availability;
Addressing escalations and being willing to assist operationally if needed;
Conducting and following up on business reviews with key suppliers;
Representing the procurement discipline in multidisciplinary project teams for New Product Introduction projects.

Additionally, we ask for:
A completed higher professional education (HBO) in areas such as Procurement, Logistics, Technical Business Administration, or Commercial Economics;
NEVI 1 certification;
NEVI 2 certification or willingness to pursue this qualification;
Affinity with or experience in a technical environment;
Experience with ERP systems;
Strong communication and writing skills in both Dutch and English.
