Formboard Engineer bij GKN Fokker Elmo
Vimaladevi is een Formboard Engineer bij GKN Fokker Elmo. Samen met haar man, die ook bij GKN Fokker Elmo werkt, en hun zoontje zijn ze naar Nederland verhuisd voor deze baan. Vimaladevi is via WFS PRO gedetacheerd bij GKN Fokker Elmo en haar man is door WFS PRO daar direct in dienst geplaatst. Ondanks dat ze bij hetzelfde bedrijf werken, werken ze aan andere projecten.
Ze is via LinkedIn in contact gekomen met WFS PRO toen ze op zoek was naar een baan in Nederland. Nadat ze gesolliciteerd had op een vacature kwam ze in contact met Maurice. Maurice heeft haar gedurende haar onboardingproces begeleid.
Haar huidige functie is niet de functie waar ze in eerste instantie op solliciteerde. Ze vertelt hoe dit zit:
“I had actually applied for a different position. When Maurice had reviewed my resume, he said, You applied for this role, but you’ve never worked with this kind of wiring before. We do have another role that would suit you better. Then followed the rest of the application process; for example, what the interview process looks like, how much time is required for the immigration process, and so on. I was also asked about my family composition and who was moving to the Netherlands with me. After a while, an interview was scheduled to discuss salary and other topics I needed to know about.”
Ze deelt haar ervaringen over het proces voorafgaand de verhuizing naar Nederland:
“My onboarding process went very smoothly. There were no obstacles because Maurice was very helpful at the time. No matter what question, I could email him and got an answer within a day. So that was very nice for me. He paired me with Monique for the preboarding process for moving to the Netherlands. Maurice explained all the details. Monique was also very helpful, for example with the plane tickets; she told us when to buy them.”
Vimaladevi verhuisde samen met haar gezin naar Nederland. Het was dus belangrijk dat ook voor hen de nodige zaken geregeld waren:
“I also sent my husband’s resume to WFS PRO and they also arranged a job for him. Regarding childcare, which I know is difficult to arrange in the Netherlands, they also helped me from pre-registering for childcare. In fact, I was already able to do this in India. So no matter what obstacles I encountered, WFS PRO solved them before it became a problem.”
Vimaladevi vertelt hoe haar aankomst in Nederland verliep:
“The house was already arranged for us, so when we arrived here we could go straight to our home. It was very nice of WFS PRO that they did everything. They also arranged for us to be picked up work from the airport and taken home. They made sure we arrived at our house safely. When we went inside we also met Maurice right away. We had no problems and arrived safely on site. WFS PRO gave me directions to the nearest bus stop. They told me how many kilometers our home is from the office so I could arrange travel expenses. They thought of and helped with so many things, which was really nice.”
Wij als WFS PRO vinden het belangrijk dat onze medewerkers begeleid worden tijdens hun pre- en onboarding. Vimaladevi vertelt hoe ze dit ervaren heeft:
“They are very responsible at WFS PRO. As far as I have seen, they don’t ignore a question from anyone. No matter what I say, they feel responsible and help us. I also attend the Dutch classes that WFS PRO has arranged for us. These classes are different from other classes because these classes are held in the evening, not during office hours. I see that as a plus.”
