For Verhoeven Family of Companies, a client of WFS PRO, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working on innovative solutions in mechanical engineering. In this role, you will work on challenging projects for the food industry, among others, where hygiene, efficiency, and technological innovation are key.
Function
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at our client, you will be responsible for designing, calculating, and developing complex machines and production lines. You will work on a project basis to develop customer-oriented solutions and actively contribute ideas about the operation and efficiency of complete installations.
Your main tasks:
- Designing, calculating, and constructing complex machines and installations in 3D CAD
- Developing customized solutions based on customer specifications
- Performing force calculations and cycle time analyses
- Developing line philosophies for efficient production lines
- Checking and evaluating designs by fellow engineers
- Collaborating with disciplines such as control engineering and production
- Mentoring junior engineers and acting as a technical point of contact
- Contributing to innovation and continuous improvement of machines and installations

Who are you
- Completed higher professional education in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar engineering role
- Experience with 3D CAD, preferably Solid Edge and AutoCAD
- Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering; experience in food, packaging, or pharmaceuticals is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
- Creative, solution-oriented, and customer-focused
- Proactive, flexible, and hands-on
- You feel at home in a dynamic and innovative work environment.
