At GKN Fokker Aerostructures in Papendrecht, the challenge is to work daily on high-performance aircraft components. As a Service Engineer in the Technical Department, you will ensure that a large and varied machine park keeps running - from column drills to CNC milling machines, robots and chemical processing lines.
Function
The Service Engineer is part of the Technical Department and focuses on analyzing and solving malfunctions, especially in the field of electrical engineering, PLCs and machine controls. In addition, work is done on modifications and improvements to increase the reliability of the machinery.
Tasks
- Analyze and troubleshoot machinery and plant failures, with emphasis on electrical engineering and PLCs
- Programming and adjusting PLC programs in case of failures and modifications
- Advising Maintenance Engineers on maintenance models.
- Feedback findings and follow-through on follow-up actions
- Specifying work for external suppliers and partners
- Supervise outside firms and collaborate on projects
- Occasional mechanical troubleshooting and reporting of results

Who are you
- An experienced technician who derives energy from solving complex malfunctions and working in an innovative technical environment.
- Completed MBO-4 education with additional training at the college level, or a college education in electronics, mechatronics or similar
- HBO working and thinking level
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with troubleshooting and/or commissioning in electrical and control engineering
- Extensive experience (5+ years) with Siemens PLCs, including programming
- Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal
- Good command of Dutch and English
- Analytical ability and communication skills in a technical environment
- Pre: knowledge of measurement and control technology and/or Siemens 840D
