Introduction

In this role, you’ll ensure that a team of about 40 skilled professionals delivers top-notch performance every day on high-quality hydraulic systems used worldwide.
Function
As Production Team Leader, you are responsible for the machining department. You divide your time between the shop floor and planning. You ensure that the schedule is on track, that everyone knows what to do, and that quality standards are maintained.
You will work closely with the planning department, project management, and a fellow team leader. Together, you will lead the department.
Here's what you actually do:
- You plan and coordinate production and capacity with internal stakeholders
- You manage a team of lathe operators, millers, welders, and machine operators on a daily basis
- You monitor the progress, quality, and utilization of machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines
- You review technical drawings, bills of materials, and hydraulic diagrams
- You will hold discussions with employees regarding their development and performance
- You identify bottlenecks and improve processes on the shop floor
- You’ll be visible on the shop floor and step in when needed. From time to time, you’ll pitch in to keep the process running smoothly. If necessary, you’ll work a two-shift schedule.

Who are you
You understand how a production environment works and have experience managing people on the shop floor. You can easily switch between technical tasks and team leadership.
Must-haves:
- A vocational or college degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering)
- Experience managing a production team
- Experience in machining, mechanical engineering, or a similar manufacturing environment
- You can read and evaluate technical drawings and diagrams on your own
- Willing to work a two-shift schedule
Nice to have:
- Experience with CNC lathes and milling machines
- Experience in a project-based production environment
