At Fokker Hoogeveen, as a tool grinder, you’ll ensure that machining processes perform at their best—which is essential in an industry where tolerances are minimal and quality is everything.
Function
As a tool grinder, you will work in the Toolshop, where tools are developed and maintained for the machining of complex aerospace components. You will play a direct role in ensuring the continuity and quality of production.
A typical workday involves programming, grinding, measuring, and optimizing tools. You will work closely with colleagues in machining and engineering to implement continuous improvements.
- Your duties include:
- You will develop and optimize milling cutters and drills for high-precision machining
- You program grinding programs using ANCA software
- You create measurement programs in Zoller Genius and inspect tools
- You will sharpen tools on CNC (ANCA) and conventional machines
- You manage the inventory of tools and materials
- You analyze wear and tear and improve tool life
- You will work as part of a specialized technical team within the Toolshop and will regularly collaborate with colleagues in the production environment. The position involves working in a two-shift rotation.

Who are you
Must-haves:
- Vocational education (technical track)
- You have experience in machining or with tools (e.g., as a CNC machinist)
- You can interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- You have experience setting priorities in a production environment
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with tool sharpening
- Knowledge of ANCA software and/or Zoller measuring systems
- Experience in a high-tech or aerospace manufacturing environment
