Within the thermal spray department at KMWE Aerospace, you will lead a specialized team and ensure that planning, quality, and collaboration come together in a high-tech aerospace environment.
Function
As Team Lead Thermal Spraying, you will manage a production team on a daily basis within the thermal spray production cell at the BIC1 site in Eindhoven. You will be responsible for production progress, the development of your team members, and maintaining an efficient, safe workplace. You will work closely with the Production Manager and Factory Planner and have direct contact with both internal and external customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage, supervise, and motivate 3 to 15 employees within the thermal spray production cell.
- Provide training and onboarding programs for (new) employees.
- Coordinating daily operations and setting clear priorities.
- Developing and adjusting the production schedule in collaboration with the Factory Planner.
- Monitoring progress, output, and delivery reliability for customers.
- Organizing and managing the workshop according to 5S principles, including daily management boards.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, safety regulations, and company policies.
You will report to the Production Manager and serve as the liaison between production, planning, and the customer.

Who are you
Must-haves
- Associate's degree, supplemented by relevant professional training or courses.
- At least 5 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Experience in a mechatronics and/or machining work environment.
- You have experience with production planning and managing day-to-day operations.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, crack inspection, or heat treatment.
- Experience in the aerospace industry or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with 5S and continuous improvement.
- You have strong communication skills, are customer-focused, and know how to get people at all levels on board with goals and changes.
