Do you have experience in a technical production environment and do you prefer to manage your colleagues from the shop floor? In this role, you’ll combine leadership with hands-on work in a specialized production process where quality, planning, and teamwork come together.
Function
As a Hands-On Team Leader in Surface Treatment, you ensure that daily production runs smoothly. You actively participate in the department’s operations while also being responsible for managing the team. You monitor the schedule, assist colleagues with technical issues, and ensure that products are processed in accordance with the appropriate quality standards.
Your duties include:
- Managing daily production based on the schedule
- Coaching, guiding, and motivating employees on the job
- Distributing tasks and setting the right priorities
- Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the production process
- Training and mentoring new colleagues
- Supporting maintenance activities and process improvements
- Enforcement of safety, quality, and work instructions
- Initiating and monitoring improvement initiatives within the department

Who are you
- Technical field with an educational and cognitive level equivalent to an MBO+ diploma
- Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment
- Experience managing, supervising, or coaching colleagues
- Good command of the Dutch language
- Willingness to work a split day shift
- Experience with continuous improvement or Lean methodologies
- Knowledge of the English language
